Sabbath mode oven

Question

Rabbi: I dont understand your answer to my question re sabbath mode ovens. In the Sabbath mode, the oven is set before Shabbat and the electronic controls are disabled and a light saying "Sab On" lights up on the display(shinui?). The oven maintains the temperature just as the refrigerator or heat system would. The oven will not respond to opening the door(pesek reshei?). Now, can I put something in this oven on Shabbat to heat up just as I would put on a blech? Please explain.

No. It does not become a Blech by Shinui alone. You need a Shinui that also reduces the flame like putting sand on it (in the olden days scenario) or a blech nowadays. AA
