Segulot

Question

Is there any legitimacy to the concept of "segulot"?, by which I refer to things people do (ex. baking a schlissel chalah after Peasch, dipping their fingers in the Havdalah wine and touching their pockets, etc.) which are supposed to be a "segulah" for parnassah, children, etc.

There is something to the ones that originated from Jewish Rabbis. The ones we got from the non-Jews, have no meaning at all. One extra 15 minutes of Torah study is worth more than a lifetime of Segulot. AA
