shavers

Question

Rabbi, Someone in my shul told me that if I use a Lift-and-Cut Shaver, certain parts of it have to be removed (one of the razors, I think). I told him that you said that a Lift-and-Cut Shaver is fine, as are all shavers. Basically, his response was that I, like several other Jews, look and find a heter to suit our purposes. I felt upset about this, and questioned myself about whether he was right. But I do trust your father's decisions. How should I respond to such comments? Thank you Rabbi.

Don't respond. If he cannot convince you, he'll insult you. Then if you were able to prove it him inside, he'll say yeah, but.... Ignore him. He's just another robot.... AA
