Shlomo Carlebach
Question
Thanks for a very informative site. I feel it my duty to mention my frustration here only because I don't know another way to get across to the people out here in Lakewood. Tonight which is Tuesday the very enjoyable Jewish radio station 107.9 will be telling stories about Shlomo Carlebach. This is besides all the many times we hear his songs being sung by him on this station. This is not to bad mouth the station at all, but how can I somehow open up their eyes to see what it is they are doing by making him someone we should idolize or feel totally comfortable listening to his music etc., knowing all too well how he conducted his life. What kind of parents are we if we just look away at this and allow children to believe this is OK for us frum people.
