The following response is meant to clarify the truth about what Hagoan Rav Chaim Pinchas Scheinberg, shlit a holds regarding using silk screening to write sifrei torah. Firstly, Rav Scheinberg never told anyone silk screening is 100% kosher. The only position Rav Scheinberg has ever taken regarding silk screening is that he follows exactly what Hagoan Rav Elyashav, shlit a holds. Rav Scheinberg has never indicated or implied any other psak on this issue other than that he follows the halachic psak of Rav Elyashav. Secondly, the signature on the letter referenced in the original email is indeed the signature of Rav Scheinberg. The only thing anyone needs to look into is the details behind when and why Rav Scheinberg signed the letter. But the signature it not a forgery and Rav Scheinberg did sign the letter. Finally, there is only one purpose for anyone sending out such an email in the first place, and that is for purpose of propaganda. Answered by Aaron AbadiDear Rabbi Simcha Scheinberg; I apologize sincerely for upsetting you. Yitz & I reviewed the email again. It is exactly as it happened. You must forgive me, but you were only there for the last 5 minutes of our conversation. Our motive was purely to show your father a letter that we knew he did not sign. He didn't recognize it, and neither did anyone else. The email that we sent, is to our friends and neighbors in our own little community, who some even have silkscreen Megilos. This was not an advertisement or propaganda. This was us sharing our personal experience. I did not even post it on my website. Are you going to agree to that statement comparing to Yeravaam Ben Nevat? I hope you will be verifying the signature as promised. I would assume that you and your family will be very upset if it was a forgery. The attached document is a copy of that same letter, printed in a newspaper or poster, mysteriously missing Rabbi Chaim P. Scheinberg's signature. You know, and I know that your father holds it is Kosher, and that is why I'm so confident that this was a forgery. Your father would never Chas Vesholom sign his name to something that he does not agree to. I wish you success on your trip here in America, and a safe trip home. Aaron Abadi
