singing
Question
Holy smokes AA... On the topic of women singing, when I first wrote about the Sridei Aish's teshuva, I said clearly: "yes the Sridei Aish qualified it." Then, in your reply you wrote: It is clearly a specific Psak for a specific group at a specific time. You clearly did not have a chance to read it. Ye Gods man. Are you unable to read??? In my original note, I wrote THE SRIDAI AISH QUALIFIED IT!!!! How could I have known that if I "did not have the chance to read it" as you accused??? The purpose of my original note was not to argue in favor of kol isha, but to argue with YOU who said that only conservative rabbis allow it!! I agree the Sridai Aish only allows kol isha under certain circumstances (I said so in my original post, after all) The point was that YOU said only conservative rabbis would allow it, when, in fact, two MAJOR ACHRONIM allow it!!! (yes, the Seridai Aish only allows it under certain circumstances, as I acknowledged originally. SRH's circumstances are less restrictive.) Let's see if the "honesty forum" prints this email Let's see if Mr. Honesty will admit he shot from the hip when he suggested I hadn't read the teshuva. (incidently the circumstances that permit the Sridai Aish to rule leniantly about kol isha are circumstances that exist to day. They are the same circumstances you often use to justify kashrus, and even mikva leniancies.)
