Suntan Lotion

Question

This is hot off the press. You CAN put on Suntan lotion. You can also put on the moisturizing lotions for the hands, as long as the hands are not chapped yet. Once they are chapped, then it would be refuah (medicine). Prevention of sunburn or chapped hands is not considered refuah. Be careful with the lotion situation. What do you mean by "Be careful with the lotion situation"?

Sorry, it should have read 'Be careful with the hand lotion situation'. What I mean is, be careful that you are not putting the hand lotion on because your hands are chapped, but only to prevent them from getting chapped. Many people put hand lotion on everyday. In that case it would not be considered Refua/medicine and is therefore Muttar. CYA Thanx for the post
