Question

Why are Equal and Splenda ok for Pesach if the first ingredients are dextrose and maltodextrin-both which are made from corn. We are not mevatel kitneyos on Pesach.

Corn isn't Kitniyot. It was not in existence in Europe until hundreds of years after this custom was made. We cannot add to a custom without good reasons and without the proper authorities. AA
