Trains Planes and Automobiles

Question

Rabbi, I appreciate your responses to my last two questions..here is another one. If I am working in the city and am trying to make a train back to deal....but miss it.... 1) Can I get on a train before shabbat -- pay for the ticket -- and get off at my stop if after shabbat started (assuming there is a kosher Eiruv) and walk home from the station, if there is no kosher Eiruv -- stash the bag somewhere so as not to carry on shabbat? Can we apply notions of Shabbat elevator to a train/subway? 2) If I get on a train scheduled to arrive before shabbat - but gets delayed -- do I need to get off the train as soon as shabbat begins? or can I continue onward and get off at my stop? 3) do any of the answers to these questions depend on alternatives -- i.e., getting off the train somewhere in the middle of nowhere, with no place to sleep or eat?
