Yarmulke
Question
Rabbi, I was wondering if you could share your thoughts on the concept of wearing a yarmulke. Is it required at work? on the train? on the street? at home? or only during eating, davening, learning, etc... Thank You
Answer
Answered by Aaron AbadiI made a lot of money because of wearing my Yarmulke. Let's get away from that old mentality and pull out our Yarmulkes and wear them proudly. Next time you're in an airport and Mohammed is on his prayer rug, you can stand proudly with a Yarmulke on your head. The halachah of Yarmulke was originally only Midat Chasidut, but eventually became Minhag, even for all Jews. Minhag is clearly less strict than other laws. For specific situations, it would be ideal to discuss with your Rabbi. AA
