Treif Restaurants
Question
You mentioned that gedolim before 20 years ago all ate in treif places. Can you give some examples, if for nothing more than entertainment value?

Answered by Aaron AbadiThis whole topic is silly. Any person traveling for more than one day would stop at an inn to eat and sleep. Did they only have kosher inns? They traveled everywhere..... It's a waste of time to even discuss this. The whole Gezera (decree) of Bishul Akum & Pat Akum etc, which were made to stop intermarriage, would be unnecessary if we didn't eat from the non-Jews. People that don't understand this, are missing the most basic understandings of Judaism, and certainly have not learned much. AA
