Truth

Question

I went away for two days and look at all the stuff I missed! I must say that after going through the Yeshiva system in excess of 13 years, I have finally found truth. I think most of us, unfortunately, have been raised in a society that was based on ignorance and just doing things because "everyone else is doing it". I am very curious to where this ignorance originated from. How did this happen? And why are people so bent on keeping the Torah stuck in 19th Century Europe. So many Jews, from all backrounds seem to have such a hard time keeping Torah and Mitzvot because they feel that our religion is too resrictive. Here, with 100% Halacha behind us, we are finding "new" (but not really) ways to give us more freedom, to help us enjoy our lives as Jews a little bit more, and still there are people who can't accept that the Torah is not a short leash, but a beautiful wide open garden with a protective fence. If more people would see this site and accept Halacha; renounce stupidity and stop baseless repetiton, maybe we wouldn't lose so many Jews to non-religous society. We SHOULD set our (very expensive) stereo systems so that it too will be used for beautifying the Shabbat. Shabbat shouldn't be just about sleeping and eating. Especially since most of us who follow Rabbi Abadi don't use local eruvs and are home until the kids can walk. Finally Jews are allowed to say the "F" word... FUN!
