Question

I understand that ashkenazim should always consult their local orthodox rabbi for all halachic questions and not follow what a particular orthodox rabbi happens to hold. You should follow one rabbi whether he is lenient or stringent. However for sefardim and those who follw the Shulchan Aruch, they need merely to follow that exclusively and should all have the same views for the most part. Of course they need to ask for modern questions, but basically the answers would be the same. How can you say 100% fact that these are the answers to these questions when Ashkenazim at least should be asking their local orthodox rabbi and I know some orthodox rabbis who differ with you on some of these issues?
