Dear Rabbi, To all those that dispute R.Abadi, and get told by their local communities that they can`t eat food without a Hecksher, The London Beth Din have been at the supervision business longer than any of the majors, and have had great Poskim in charge of it such as Dayan Abramsky. Their Really Kosher Food Guide, states categorically, that any kosher species of canned fish in water or any vegetable oil, is kosher without supervision. ( They also approve a whole slew of products, based on their ingredients. One caveat, they don`t agree on which ingredients are kosher, but that`s up to reasonable Rabbinic dispute.) There are other European countries that have the same policies. The reason for that, is that the Rabbanim in Europe realize that the Jews are very smart and educated there. So they can handle reading ingredients and the labels. However, here the Rabbanim in the USA feel differently about us. I wonder if any research was done on the IQs of Europeans VS Americans. It would be interesting. CYA
