Tzitzit during Kreiat Shema

I saw in a siddur called "Eizor Eliyahu" that the Vilna Gaon would hold 2 of the four tzitzit during keriat shema. The reason given there was that the correct way to wear a tallit is to have 2 tzitzit in front and 2 in back. Which way is preferred; holding 2 or all 4 during Kreiat Shema.

Holding the 2 front ones. But if you have missed the Zman Kriat Shema, doing any of these Minhagim would be ludicrous. Aaron Abadi Look up Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim Siman # 24
