vinegar,whole wheat bread

Hello, I understand that vinegar is made from wine, but i have no idea how how much etc etc, Des vinegar need a hechser, eating a cold salad in a restaurant, can i use vinaigrette dressing? arnolds stone ground whole wheat bread is kosher pareve, but just plain whole wheat bread isnt. in the ingredients besides normal pareve ingredients, and chemicals like stearates, and maybe lactates, WHEY IS written in bold letters, is that why? but even an ou rabbi i know says whey is pareve as i belive you do? or should i send you the ingredients. (PS a chemist i know says the rennet put in regualr cheese, is more than shishim and is an edible protein as is.) thank you jh

Answered by Aaron Abadi1) Vinegar can be wine, but it also can be from many other things. If it says as an ingredient plain "vinegar," it is not from wine. If you don't know what the vinegar is, you have a problem. 2) They think Whey is considered dairy. 3) The rennet would be OK, but the cheese is still a problem. AA
