wedding invitations
Question
C'vod H'rav, My Chuppa IY''H is scheduled for just past sh'kia. What day do we write on the invitations, as kabbalt panim will be the halachik day before the chuppa. ie one hour before the chuppa?
Answer
Answered by Aaron AbadiOn the invitation write the night's date. And on the Ketuba the same. Try not to perform the actual marriage till 40 minutes after Shekiah (sunset). Otherwise, you will have a problem with the date. Also, leave out the word "Vekaninah" and the singnatures on the Ketuba and do that under the Chuppah. Otherwise it seems like a lie, because those Aramaic words say that you already got married, but you did not. Also, have the names all written without titles, like "Yisrael Ben Moshe Tzvi," not Hagaon Harav Yisroel Ben Moreinu..... Mazal Tov! AA
