Kavod L'Rav: My wife covers her hair with either a hat or a scarf. We live in a community where some of the women wear wigs. Is there any tradition of wigs in the Sepharadic community or is this a completely Ashzkenaz thing? Thank you for your time.

Answered by Aaron AbadiNo problem with wigs. It's perfectly OK, and considered a valid covering. Yes, there are those that held it was a problem, but there are important Chumrot we should be working on. Not to mention all those Halachot we have not been able to establish in our society. For example, we rush all the women to Shul on Rosh Hashanah to hear the Shofar, which is not their Mitzvah, but most religious woman do not pray 3 times a day, which a majority of Poskim believe is the law. Let's stick to the laws and try our best to keep them to the letter. AA
