Wine
Question
If a tiny bit of non-kosher wine falls into the kosher wine, you can drink it all, since the non-kosher wine is batel. How come, then, if you know that 99% of the wine at a certain winery is produced by machine, that the one percent that comes into contact with human hands isn't batel?
Answer
Answered by Aaron AbadiWhere did you get the 1% number from. Yayin STAM is any wine that is bought from a non-Jew that could have been touched by him. These wines are thus 100% Yayin Stam. Think about it. ...and the Chachamim (Rabbis) said Yayin Stam is no good. AA
