Study on Yom Tov

Question

You said in previous posts that you are allowed to study only torah and not other texts on Shabbat. Does the same thing apply on a Yom Tov that does not fall on Shabbat such as next Sunday? I am asking you this question because weekends are the only time I have to study for my tests and that is becoming impossible now. Thankyou
