Bishul on Shabbos

Question

One of my kids learned in school that it's assur on shabbos to put the cholent on the plate with any cold food because of bishul. I told her that since the cholent is in a serving dish, which is a kli sheini and is now being taken from that dish onto her plate, that there is no problem of bishul. Am I correct?
