Can you tell us why we light bonfires on lag b'omer? Is this practice described by any rishonim? I have the same questions about upshurins. Is this practice documented in any pre-hasidic jewoish source? Thanks,

Don't waste time with these things. Anything not brought in the Poskim is not an issue. AA
