Chanukah Bush

Question

I humbly disagree. If your response is equating Thanksgiving and Xmas, I see a huge difference. Thanksgiving is a secular based holiday that offers thanks to the Almighty. As much as one tries to disagree (commerical, national, etc), Xmas and all its derivations have religious (pagan) connections.

Do your research and you'll find out that Thanksgiving originated as a religious holiday. You can start with the word itself, "Thanks Giving." To whom? to the black hole? to the Jewish God? There were barely any Jews around in those days. AA Of course you're right, Rabbi. The Puritans did not celebrate Thanksgiving to a God.."To whom it may concern"..It was a strictly Christian holiday. If I may quote Rabbi Avigdor Miller ZT"L.. "Yeharog, ve'al ya'avor". LYA
