How confident are you that it goes on instantly verses having a short delay? Do you have a website at which we can look at this product. AA --------- Now that you mention it, the countertop model (the one I have) does have a small delay of about 1 second. When you first divert water to it, a chamber must finish filling in order for the electric part to activate. Once you stop the diverter, the filter stays on for about 3 seconds, until the chamber empties a little bit. As far as the whole-house model, I don't know if there is a delay or not.
