Question

1. Do we make a bracha for yom tov and shabbat this year erev shavuot or just yom tov and nothing for shabbat? 2. What do you mean by singing pesukim "in their time" did I miss a post? I know you are not supposed to make a song out of pesukim but with all that would be left of jewish music if my family stopped listenening to songs of pesukim, can we still listen, is it really bad if we sing along? what if the song has bits and pieces of different pesukim making a new sentence? Especially if the alternative is to listen to secular music. thank you Tammi

1) Just Yom Tov. Shabbat lights are on already, so you get the Mitzvah. You just miss out on the Beracha. 2) Sing bits & pieces or change the words a bit. AA
