Re: Rochella

Question

Chaim, I just want to clarify about the post I wrote about Lakewood. You wrote that that people have to make sure not to let other go through the pain I went through.... In actuality I was a very good student, my principals loved me, I had prominent jobs on school committees, got into good seminary, etc. I'm not one of those girls that really has a situation- never hung out or anything (and if you're thinking of something specific that is probably the only really bad thing I've ever done), never really got into trouble. BUT I've seen what happened to friends and classmates of mine. I won't elaborate here because I know thats not the point of this website, but there are some terrible things going on in Lakewood. Thank God I was never very personally affected but I see what goes on. I heard things that teachers taught, crazy things that people would not believe if I told them. I've become very jaded to these stories, but I guess something on this website sparked some anger in me. Boruch Hashem I came out unscathed, but in truth I really didn't because seeing things happen to innocent people by all the "choshuv" people who have the power in Lakewood- that causes pain. Someone has to do something about it. I think no one really sees the hypocricy as clearly as the children, and teenagers. And as a girl who was born and bred in Lakewood, all I can say is there has to be something done. Unfortunately most of us have given up. Probably nothing will be done. This website is a great thing but the people who need to read it probably would never go near it. Thanks for all the work you put into this, and for being so helpful and understanding to everyone regarding all issues.

your welcome you never know what, when or how you are influencing others with what you say. If you plant a seed (thought) in someones head, it will bear fruit sooner or later. The nisyanos/pain that people go through in life, can be used later on to help others through the same situations. You have the ability to say, "I had the same issue and I B"H succeeded in not allowing it to hurt me". This can make the original pain worth it. Trust me, its true. CYA
