Question

Does Rav Abadi have a position with regard to whether someone can be an organ donor. The issue comes down to whether you accept brain death or not (because if you don't accept brain death, then you can't use the organs). This is a big machloket. R. Moshe Feinstein seemed to accept it as does the Chief Rabbinate of Israel, R. Zalman Nehemiah Goldberg and many big rabbonim. But R. Elyashiv, R. Bleich, R. Herschel Schachter and other don't accept it. I assume that your father has had to poskin these questions a number of times and had had to investigate the issue (if not, there is someone I know who would like to meet with him and discuss the issue based on the latest medical advances).
