Yom Tov

Question

1. If you forgot to turn a light on in a room can you turn it on on Yom Tov? 2. Let's say you would like to read in a certain room but there is no light on, and in another room you have light. Can you turn on the light in the first room, or should you go to the other room?

1) No, unless you ran out of time. 2) You can't turn on a light unless it was on before Yom Tov & it went out, or you ran out of time before Yom Tov. If any of these scenarios apply, you can chose either choice. AA
